After the Seattle Seahawks defeated the San Francisco 49er’s in the NFC Championship game, Richard Sherman did some talking. In fact, he talked so much that he was criticized by the media all over the country. Many said that Richard Sherman talked too much. Professional athletes are usually very careful about what they say to the media. Otherwise, it can come back to bite them in the rear end.
Mr. Sherman’s team-mate decided to be on the safe side. A week ago, Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch did not talk. Again, he was criticized by the media. This time, the media criticized a player because he did not talk enough. He did not say anything that would get him into trouble. In fact, he did not say anything at all. Why was he criticized by the media? Why was he almost fined by the NFL? It seems as if everyone is pissed at him because he did not give them any ammunition to use to attack him, like they attacked Richard Sherman.
Marshawn Lynch tried to prove the following principle true, “If you don’t say anything, you can’t get into trouble.” Marshawn, you did the right thing.
What in the Hell do the BIG SHOTS want from these guys? If you are a professional athlete, You Are
DAMNED IF YOU DO, AND DAMNED IF YOU DON’T.
