Tony Stewart has taken the Double Standard to an all time high. Or should I say an all time low?
Tony Stewart’s Temper May Have Gone Too Far
Stewart has been labeled as The Hothead of NASCAR, and rightly so. All of us have probably had experiences with hotheads. My experience has been, Hotheads do things to hurt other people, but, they don’t like the same things done to them.
Stewart has gotten into confrontations with other drivers in the past. None of those drivers who pissed Stewart off tried to kill him.
Suddenly, Stewart decides to race on Saturday night at Canandaigua Motorsports Park in New York. This was a mistake. A professional driver shouldn’t be racing with a bunch of amateurs. But, since he followed through with it, you would think that, being a professional, he would stand out as an example. Oh, he stood out all right. By the time the investigation is over, I would not be surprised if the authorities make him an example.
Out of nowhere, Stewart is given a taste of his own medicine. He pisses off another driver, 20-year-old Kevin Ward Jr. Did Stewart handle it the same way as the other drivers who pissed him off? Not exactly. He just ran the young guy down and killed him in cold blood.
No question about it, Tony Stewart is The New King of the Double Standard.
