Dear Merjeo:

I have a problem. I have a mouse in my house. I noticed it day before yesterday.

Yesterday, I went to the dollar store and bought 4 traps, then went back home and set them out.

Nothing has happened. What should I do next.

First Response from Merjeo:

I have 2 questions. First, what time did you set the traps? Second, after you set the traps, what did you do next?

Reply from Merjeo Reader:

I set the traps around 10:00 PM. Afterwards, I watched TV for about 2 hours and then went to bed. Actually, I watched YouTube videos on how to trap a mouse.

Second Reply from Merjeo:

That's the problem, my Friend. After setting the traps, you should have either gone to bed, or left the house again for a few hours. The mouse is not as stupid as you think. He knows when you're stirring around, and making noise. What do you think he's going to do, commit suicide just to entertain you?

There's such a thing a "too much information". While you were watching YouTube videos showing mice getting caught in traps, the mouse was probably watching you. Did it not occur to you that the mouse knew what you were watching?
